You can also avoid alcohol and smoking as well. When you get older there is a tendency that your salivary glands no longer work. You can however stick to these habits in order to keep up with the possible dehydration in your mouth.

Start to use mouthwash

If you are not already using a mouthwash, it is time that you go ahead and invest in a mouthwash as well. Make sure that you wash your dentures and any other equipment that you wear in your mouth with the antibacterial mouthwash as well.
